Happy New Year! We wish you all a great 2014, filled with health, wealth and happiness.

Now the story. Neat Interactive is hiring…but first let us tell you why:

Neat Interactive began in a living room in the spring of 2012 with two laptops and a goal. The goal was, and continues to be, to assist clients in creating and maintaining a comprehensive digital presence in order to create value for their business.

In the time since we launched Neat Interactive social media has gone from being an experiment to a recognized marketing necessity. The spread of mobile phones has grown exponentially as the cost of a smartphone has decreased and bandwidth capabilities have increased. PPC and banner ad campaigns continue improving, zeroing in on targeted audiences with ever-increasing precision.

Facebook itself has undergone a number of changes throughout 2012 and 2013 to continue creating value for its investors. Notably, their Facebook Ads service has seen marked improvements such as automating A/B testing, improved audience targeting (by country, city, gender, age, interests, education, marital status, parental status, etc.), more campaign options and in a non-ad improvement, removing a few restrictions such as no text on cover photos and no contests on the wall. Twitter is also undergoing changes as it seeks to create value for investors after its IPO in the USA. Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr and Snapchat have also all increased in popularity and are seeking monetization which will very likely mean more marketing opportunities for businesses.

Then there’s China. China’s social media services are growing at an even, if not faster, pace than that of its non-Chinese counterparts. Assisted by a ban on Facebook and Twitter and inconsistent accessibility to Google within China, homegrown social media channels like Sina Weibo, Tencent Weibo and RenRen have gained hundreds of millions of Chinese users. Baidu, China’s version of Google, is also flourishing in China, controlling the vast majority of search and thus search engine marketing. The West does not have a rival to the social media messaging app darling WeChat (Weixin in China) which has grown in a few years to over 300 million users. Line is WeChat’s largest rival, but Line is most popular in Japan and Southeast Asia. There is really no equivalent in the United States or Europe. Whatsapp and Viber do not come close to WeChat and Line’s capabilities. Neat Interactive recognized the potential of offering Chinese social media marketing services in November of 2012. In December 2012 we began offering the service and by March of 2013 we had opened an office in Shanghai in order to provide a full range of digital marketing services with native Chinese staff.

As we begin the new year, we are eager to continue expanding and improving the services we provide. The online marketing industry is constantly evolving as it responds to how people interact with technological improvements. The hardware we use is constantly improving as the ubiquity of the smartphone, smart televisions, tablets and lighter and faster laptops shows. The applications running on this hardware also improve as faster and smaller processors are able to handle greater application demands in terms of functionality and graphics.

As you can see by now, the landscape is ever-evolving across multiple areas. That is why Neat Interactive is hiring for its Bangkok and Shanghai teams across all the services we offer in both non-Chinese and Chinese, including social media marketing, search engine marketing, banner ads, remarketing and retargeting, web design, web development, mobile marketing, online reputation management, search engine optimization, programming, copywriting, graphics and account management. Our requirements are simple:

  • Prior education and/or experience in the area you are applying for
  • Always eager to learn
  • Fluency in a minimum of two languages
  • Creative
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Take pride in your work
