This morning when we logged into our Twitter account @NeatInteractive there was a box at the top of the screen inviting us to view the performance of our tweets in an improved dashboard. Upon a first quick visit, the dashboard looks sleek and clean. We have seen Twitter’s analytics before, but this is an improvement over previous versions. If you want to see your analytics, go to ads.twitter.com and login with your Twitter account.
While we were logged in we began exploring, as we do, and tried creating a promoted tweet. Here’s how the process worked (click on any image for a larger version):
1. Give Your Campaign a Name and Choose When to Run the Campaign
2. Targeting
Choose from Keywords, Television, Interests and followers, and Tailored audience. Selecting any of the four will open a new set of options below the box for further specification of the audience.
3. Tweets
Select the tweet you want to promote or create new tweet.
4. Budget
Select campaign budget by specifying a daily maximum. The bid can go from as low as US$0.01. Then you can set Maximum Bid Per Engagement and/or set a total budget.
5. Save Campaign
You can scroll to the top of the page for a summary of your campaign. If you are satisfied, scroll to the bottom and click on the blue Save Campaign. It’s as easy as that.
